What is Chocolate Brownie?

A chocolate brownie or simply a brownie is a square or rectangular chocolate baked treat. … They may include nuts, frosting, cream cheese, chocolate chips, or other ingredients. A variation made with brown sugar and vanilla rather than chocolate in the batter is called a blond brownie or blondie.

Ingredients

200g Dark Chocolate chopped

175g Unsalted Butter Diced

325g Caster Sugar

100g Plain Flour

30g Sugar and Crumbs Chocolate Cocoa Powder ( Flavour of your choice)

3 Medium or Large Eggs

Icing Sugar Optional for dusting

Terry’s Chocolate Orange 12 -15 Pieces (Optional goes well with Orange flavoured cocoa powder)

 

Instructions
  1. Prepare a brownie tin with greaseproof paper. Approx 9×9 inch.
  2. Preheat the oven to 170c.
  3. Melt dark chocolate and butter either in the microwave in short bursts or in a bowl over a pan of boiling water stirring in between, until melted.
  4. Take the melted chocolate off the heat, stir in the sugar until combined, then stir in the flour and cocoa powder until combined.
  5. Lastly beat the eggs and add the eggs to the mix, stir in fully.
  6. Spoon the mix into the brownie tin, spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 15 minutes, remove and add the terry’s chocolate orange pieces if using, place back in the oven for another 15 minutes.
  8. Serve hot or cold, eat within 5 days.  Store in an airtight container.
