Biscuit Truffle

What are Biscuit Truffles?

Biscuit Truffles are a small treat, great to have with a cup of tea or as a after meal treat when a dessert would be too much.  They are budget friendly and great to make with kids.

Ingredients

 
1/4 Tsp Sugar and Crumbs Flavour Shot of your Choice 
100g Biscuits (Custard Creams, Hobnobs, Digestives, Lotus)
60g Cream Cheese
150g Sugar and Crumbs Tempered Chocolate White or Milk
Sprinkles if using
 

Instructions

1. Place the biscuits in a zip lock bag or mixing bowl and use a rolling pin to crush them into fine crumbs.

2. Add in the Sugar and Crumbs Flavour shot and stir in, add in the cream cheese and use the back of a spoon to press the cream cheese into the crumbs, continue pressing and spreading the cream cheese into the crumbs until you have a combined dough like mix.

3.  Line a small tray or container that you can fit in your freezer with baking paper, Take a small amount of the mix (bitesize) and roll into a ball between the palms of your hands.  Place this into your container and continue until you have used all the mix.

4.  Place in the freezer for 20 minutes, once frozen start to melt the chocolate, melt in 30 seconds bursts in the microwave and take out in between and stir, melt until you have a few lumps left then just stir these in the melted chocolate don’t continue to heat until all is melted as it will bloom.

5. Have another tray lined with baking paper ready plus sprinkles if using.  Use two forks to help you cover each ball in the chocolate and then lift onto the tray, cover with sprinkles straight away as it will begin to set, continue until all the truffles are coated.

6. Leave to set in the fridge for 10 mins then you can move them to a container to keep in the fridge.

Best eaten within 5 days
